2010 New Years Resolutions

So it is here already!!! I am sooo excited to say goodbye, good riddance, adios, ciao-well you get the idea-to 2009!!

I have so many goals for next year that I thought I better write them down so I could hold myself more accountable for my own outcome of 2010.

  1. Attend church on a more regular basis and grow more spiritually. (stop making excuses for not going)

  2. Join/start a fellowship group at church.

  3. Get involved more in charity and the community and charity abroad.

  4. Spend more quality time as a family.

  5. Take much needed breaks from the kids with Ryan on a more regular basis.

  6. Have a more structured family daily schedule

  7. Be more organized.

  8. Get in shape/lose some extra padding.

  9. Be better about birthdays, and sending well wishes!

  10. Stick to the family budget!

  11. Get Febe's Bebes running-at least definately started.

  12. All in all ENJOY life MORE!!!!!

May everyone have a blessed 2010 filled with a lot of joy, happiness and success!!!!!

Tree decor and Christmas Eve

We bought our tree, and just as I was getting ready to start decorating it,
this is what I found!!
As soon as we were able to get Thomas to stay out of the tree
it looked like this!!

(the stockings were hung...)

Cookies were baked for me Santa to eat...

We opened our Christmas PJ's

Took a couple cute pics

including a family one!

And went to bed!!!

We believe, do you??

Merry Christmas!!!!!

Here are the girls discovering their Santa presents!!
They went to their tent first and when they came out of the tunnel they were pointed directly at....

.....THIS!
(Man do I need to clean the fireplace doors or what?!?)

Adyson LOVED her Tinkerbell blanket sooo much! This was the first thing she did once we unfolded it for her!!

She wasn't 100% sure about her new baby because of all of the noises it makes (including FARTING!) , but she quickly warmed up to her and this was her favorite toy by the end of the night
(evident by the temper tantrum at the dinner table when she was taken away).
Brookelynn also enjoyed her Tinkerbell blanket, but preferred to do so in the comfort of her new "fort"!

(Thomas is in nearly every picture with Brooke. He is her "baby"...think Elmira from Looney Tunes..."I'm gonna hug you and love you and you are all mine!" I don't know why he loves her so??)

Here is the Bean in her favorite gift, her Tinkerbell dress up from her dress up chest. This outfit did. not. come. off. until I made her take it off for bed!!

And last but surely not least...here is the tree with all of the girl's loot minus their Santa gifts...I don't know about you, but I'd say they did alright...a little too good if you ask me!

Mail anyone?????

One of Brookelynn's favorite things to do after nap time is to check the mail! So I had a BRILLIANT idea!!! It would be great if all of our family members and friends could send Brooke some REAL mail...it would be better than the stupid junk mail (although I wouldn't mind giving her a few bills to destroy) she gets.

If you would like to participate in this I would really like it if you could send a picture of yourself along with whatever it is you send to Brooke for another project I am thinking of!!! Please e-mail me at smithlewis19677@yahoo.com for our actual address.

Thanks!

Seriously......

Okay so I put TONS of work into putting all of these posts and photos in order and saved them all as drafts until I was done with them and ready to post. And now that I have published them they are still all out of order....WTF?????????? Soooooo frustrating.

My first quilt...this one is for you Adrea!

It is FINALLY done!! I made this "woobie" for Brookelynn. Not too bad for my first one...I just hope that I get better with every one that I do! Now to get started on Adyson's!

Other Memorial Day weekend pictures...

Our Memorial Day weekend was packed with tons of activities, but it was TONS of fun to hang out outside ALL day!! The girls absolutely loved it too!

Brookelynn taking time to relax for a minute!

Can't wait for the treat daddy is cooking!

Grubbin on the treats that daddy cooked over the fire.

Cheeeese...with a mouthful!

Good 'til the very last bite!

I was actually able to get some more flower seeds planted too! Can't wait for them to bloom! I planted some sweet pea seeds and 2 different kind of flower mixes. I am excited to see it. And in this picture you can see the hyasynth (sp?) that my mom and I planted from seeds (the tiny white flowers) has FINALLY bloomed!

The crazy rose bush that I cut waaaay back....and it still looks crazy!

I saved some of the roses for the center of our table!

Adyson and her shoe...

I was trying to get some lunch ready for the girls the other day and turned around and Ady was trying to put her shoe on by herself and I thought it was cute. Just thought I would share it with you.

The fire pit....

Ryan has been wanting to dig a pit since we have moved in. Memorial Day weekend seemed like a perfect time to get it done.

Can you believe that I actually got a DECENT picture?!? (no middle finger!!)

Making sure that the ground is level for the bricks. Who knew building a fire pit was so technical?

Sweeping the bricks to prepare them for the glue to hold the bricks together...he told me that he would kill me if I posted this photo....soo...if anything happens... JUST KIDDING!!!

The first level of bricks completed. A little out of order I guess...sorry!

Ryan forgot to buy whatever thos doo-hickeys are called that you use to get the stuff out of the tubes so being a man's man he is trying to figure out how he is going to get it out without having to go back to the store...LOL! He ended up using a STICK!!!

Layer 2 complete!

TA DA!! A finished fire pit!

And we got to enjoy the fire pit before bed time too! It was great! Thanks babe! What a great idea!

Our photo shoot with Kenz...

We went with our friend Mackenzie and her new toy to a place called Thanksgiving Point to get some great pictures of the girls. And believe it or not these are just a FEW of my favorites!! Enjoy. Are there any fishies in there?

Never forget to stop and smell the flowers!!!

It was quite the challenge to get these two in the same photo!

This photo CRACKS me up!!!!

This photo is funny too, we asked Brookelynn to stand in front of this door for a picture and this little boy opened it and scared the crap out of her...we were all laughing soo hard! Brooke, not so much!

This photo is precious. Brookelynn is telling Adyson all about whatever it is that she has in her hand.

No day is ever complete without a meltdown.

So serious.

Cute!

Kisses for the baby!

Brooke was too busy to cooperate for a photo op?!?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!!!!!!!

Thanks again Mackenzie!!! You captured some GREAT photos! Can't wait for the June shoot!!!! Love ya!
